Wickenburg Funeral Home & Crematory Wickenburg, Arizona George Milo Springer, age 78, passed away June 2, 2012 in Peoria, Arizona. Milo was born August 23, 1933 in Exeter, Nebraska to Hobart S. Springer and Ruth Craven Springer. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1954 to 1956. He worked primarily as a self-employed trucker for years. Milo is survived by his wife Sylvia of Peoria and daughters Karen Christiana of Phoenix and Connie Springer of Omaha, NE as well as step-sons Russell Weber of Derby, KS and Steven Weber of Sahaurita, AZ. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at 1:30 PM at the Wickenburg Bible Fellowship with Pastor Rod Hackett officiating. ~~~~~~~~~ The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona Wednesday, June 06, 2012 George Milo Springer was born on Aug. 23, 1933, the third of four children on a farm in Nebraska. He went to Heaven on June 2, 2012 in Peoria, Ariz. He served in the Army from 1954 until honorably discharged in 1956. Milo married the love of his life Sylvia Johnson Weber on Dec. 27, 1962. He was a loving husband and father and raised three sons and two daughters. Milo was a savvy businessman and owned several companies during his life including trucking businesses and a motel. Milo and Sylvia lived in Exeter, Grand Island, and McCook, Neb.; Palm Desert and Niland, Calif.; Tucson, Wickenburg, and Peoria, Ariz. Milo never let anyone remain a stranger for long. He made friends with everyone he met. In addition to his many friends around the country, Milo is survived by wife Sylvia Springer of Peoria, Ariz.; children Connie (Springer) and Lloyd Montgomery of Omaha, Neb.; Karen (Springer) and Joe Staley of Phoenix, Ariz.; Russell and Lori Weber of Wichita, Kan.; Steve and Anita Weber of Tucson, Ariz.; and Darrell Weber of Loveland, Colo.; 10 grandchildren - Chris Weber, Scott and Shannon Weber, Angela Swartz, Joe Weber, Jonathon Weber, Ian and Andrea Schen, Jennifer (Weber) and Ricky Miller, Nicole, Brooke and Adam Weber; six great grandchildren - Makala Clark, Tresten, Ashten and Andrew Weber, Tyler Schen and Kylee Bain; sisters Emma Jean (Springer) Dickey, Carol (Springer) and Gayle Goering. He was preceded in death by parents Hobart and Ruth (Craven) Springer, brother Hobie Springer, and brother-in-law Warren Dickey. Services were held on Tuesday, June 5 at 1:30 p.m. at the Wickenburg Bible Fellowship Church, 970 N. Tegner Street in Wickenburg, with Pastor Rodney Hackett officiating.
