Betty N. Arnold-Alaria, age 79, a 12-year resident of Mohave Valley, Ariz., passed away Saturday, May 19, 2012, in Long Beach, Calif.
She was born June 5, 1932, to John and Virgie (Sarah Ellenor Virginia) Boughers in Bristol, Tenn.
Betty lived all over the U.S. while married to her late husband, George, who had joined the Navy and settled in Arizona after retirement. Betty worked as both a volunteer and employee at the Senior Nutrition Center of Bullhead, where she was the V.P. of the PennyWise Thrift Store at the center.
Betty was a kind and loving person and a great mom. She will be missed.
Betty was preceded in death by her son, Michael; parents, John and Virgie; three brothers, Harold, Louis, and Gordon; three sisters, Edna, Mildred, and Eva; and her second husband, Jim Alaria, whom she met while volunteering at the Senior Center after George's death.
Betty is survived by her three daughters, Barbara, Marilyn, and Kellie; son, Paul; six stepchildren, Debbie, Joann, Mary, James, Patricia and Christine; two sisters, Louise and Phyllis; brother, Bob; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Interment will be at the Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, Calif.
