Edith Mary Ligrani, 97, resident of Gilbert and Eagar died June 3, 2012, at White Mountain Regional Medical Center in Springerville.
She was born Dec. 3, 1914, in Denver, Colo. Known and loved by the community in Grand Junction, Colo., she lived an active life as a church organist, dance school and orchestra pianist and accompanist for high school events.
In 1981, after husband Roxy Ligrani’s death, she continued her musical career in the Phoenix area performing 31 years with her daughter Genny. She was a great cook and she loved animals. She was a wonderful, giving mother, grandmother, great- and great, great grandmother and wife. Her presence will forever be in the hearts of all who knew her.
She is survived by her daughter, Genevieve Ligrani–Leggett, granddaughter Christine Jackson Md.; grandson Marvin R. Jackson III (TJ); great-grandchildren: Rick Gerkin, Jackie Jackson, Tucker Jackson; great-great granddaughter Riley Sue Gerkin and many beloved nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. Friday, June 8, at Callahan Funeral Home, Grand Junction, Colo.
Graveside service are set for 10 a.m. Saturday, June 9, at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Grand Junction. Friends and family invited.
