WATSON, Wilford Thomas (Bill)


The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona May 2012 Wilford Thomas (Bill) Watson 84, of Cave Creek. AZ, formerly of Acton, MA, passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2012 at Hospice of the Valley (Eckstein). Bill was a member of the United States Army Air Force from 1945 to 1949. He earned a degree in Electrical Engineering from Pennsylvania Military College, which is now Weidner University, in Chester, PA. He received his Masters Degree from the University of Pennsylvania. Before his retirement Bill was an Electrical Engineer Manager for Honeywell (Bull) in Billerica, Massachusetts. Joan Watson had the privilege of having this wonderful, loving and caring husband for fifty three years. Bill had no greater joy than his four children who survived him. Pat Powers of Ft. Worth, Texas, Susan Ekstram of Cave Creek, Arizona, and twin sons, Jonathan and Randall Watson of Santan Valley and Cave Creek, AZ., were the pride and joy of his life. He thoroughly delighted in being a part of their lives and was humbled by all their many accomplishments. The wonderful legacies of his life will continue with him being the loving grandfather of fourteen and the great-grandfather of two. He was fulfilled with love for his family and relished in all their achievements. A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 4, 2012 at La Casa de Cristo Lutheran Church at 6300 E. Bell Road, Scottsdale, AZ at 10:30 A.M. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Hospice of the Valley , 1510 E. Flower Street, Phoenix, AZ, 85014. Arrangements entrusted to Messinger Pinnacle Peak Mortuary.
