Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Published Saturday, June 9, 2012 - Marillyn Mornigstar, 86, passed away May 30, 2012 in Lake Havasu City. She was born April 28, 1926, in Seattle, Wash., to Isadore and Molly (Esfeld) Sigel. Marillyn moved to Lake Havasu City 20 years ago, coming from Kirkland, Wash. She was a member of The Lake Havasu Museum of History (docent) and the Lake Havasu Art Guild. She was a prolific artist, kayaker on Lake Havasu, gallery owner, dog lover and a naturalist. Marillyn instilled the love of art and life in her four children. She was a "people person" who passed into a grand legend after her 86 fruitful and adventuresome years of life. She will be deeply missed and always loved. Marillyn is survived by her children, Karren Silver, Jadene Walters and John and Max Salkin; sisters, Carmen Shafer and Judy Simons; grandchildren, Marc Silver, Barry Walters, Buffy Josheau Salkin, Gabriel Salkiin and Sekoah Salkin; great-grandchildren, Sydney Collier, Lily Walters and Nova Salkin. She was preceded in death by her parents, Isadore and Molly Sigel. Cremation took place on June 1, at Lake Havasu Mortuary and Crematory.
