Mabel Cozzini, born Oct. 24, 1913, in Huntington Station, N.Y., to Louis and Josephine (Ampolini) Molinelli, passed away June 5, in Lake Havasu City, at the age of 98.
Mabel married Henry Cozzini Sept. 15, 1934, in Brooklyn, N.Y. They moved to Los Angeles, Calif., in 1938, where they raised their family.
Mabel was the ultimate “homemaker.” Her devotion to God and unwavering love for her family always came first. In her eyes, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren could do no wrong. She was an outstanding cook and enjoyed crocheting and knitting. As the master soother of cuts and bruises, her favorite remedy was a piece of candy or a cookie.
Mabel is survived by her loving daughter, Loretta (Curt) Frilot, of Lake Havasu City; and grandchildren, Lisa (Jim) Mohan, Jeannette (Tom) Schneller, Dan (Parvenah) Frilot, Michelle (Ron) Anglin, Richard (Marta) Scotti, Frank (Ellen) Scotti, Tina Cozzini, Carrie (Javier) Garcia; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Henry; her son, Richard; and great-grandson, James.
A visitation will be Monday, from 6-8 p.m. at the Lietz-Fraze Chapel, with a Rosary at 7 p.m. A Mass of the Christian Burial will be Tuesday, at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, officiated by Father Chauncey Winkler.
Thoughts and condolences can be sent to Mabel’s family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.com.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Lady of the Lake Soup Kitchen.
Arrangements were placed under the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory
