West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona Tuesday, June 12, 2012 Jose D. "Shorty" Sandoval, 78, of Dona Ana, N.M., and formerly of Avondale died June 2, 2012. Mr. Sandoval was born Oct. 16, 1933, in Colotlan, Jal, Mexico. He was a retired laborer of Las Cruces, N.M. He is survived by his wife, Josefa; 13 children, Dolores Ybarra, Yolanda Dominguez, Lupe Murillo, Minerva Ramirez of El Paso, Texas, Martha Cervantes of Chaparral, N.M., Felipe of Chaparral, N.M., Ernestine Lopez of Arizona, Ana Maria Solano of Arizona, Jose Jr., Adam, Carlos, Armando and Albert; 49 grandchildren; 75 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Felicities. Services were held June 8 in Dona Ana, N.M.
