Ray Calvin Wagner, born Dec. 4,1935, in Alburnett, Iowa, to Glenn and Pauline (O’Kelly) Wagner, went to be with his Lord June 9, 2012 in Lake Havasu City, at the age of 76.
In 1972, Ray moved his family to Lake Havasu City from Marion, Iowa. While living in Lake Havasu City, Ray was involved in many youth activities serving as a Little League coach and president of the Lake Havasu Little League, served as president of the Lake Havasu High School Athletic Booster Club, served on the Lake Havasu Unified School District Governing Board and was a member and past president of the Lake Havasu Optimist Club. Ray owned several businesses in Lake Havasu City and worked as a real estate agent. In his later years, he enjoyed playing games and cards with family and friends.
Ray was preceded in death by his father, Glenn; mother, Pauline; and son, Mark. Ray is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Mary Ann Wagner; sister, Dorothy Martin; sons, Chuck (Glenda), Bart (Janet) and Jay (Angie); step-children, Annette (Yogi), Robert and John; grandchildren, Alyeska (Terry), Lane, Janie (Mitch), Jhoshua, Lindsay, Jacob (Lauren), Ben (Danielle), Garrett, Reid, McKenzie, Haleigh, Dylan, David Lee, Ryan and Robert Jr.; and five great grand-children.
Services will be Saturday, at 1 p.m. at Lakeview Community Church, with Paster Dale Ray offering words of comfort and reassurance.
