Manuel Isaac Alvarado, born Feb. 20, 1985, in Oklahoma City, was taken Friday, May 18, 2012. He had worked as a telemarketer and had recently applied for and was being considered for a teaching position at the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts in Tempe, Ariz., where he had attended many classes.
He is survived by his mother, Melody S. Kershner, and fiancée, Elizabeth J. Corpuz of Phoenix; his father, Manuel E. Alvarado and wife Lucy of Kingman; his Aunt Casey, Uncles Mike and Bobby on his mother's side; Aunts Maggie, Rose, Linda, Fran, Maria and Virginia, and one Uncle Paul and Carolyn on his father's side; and many cousins.
He will be greatly missed by us all. He had a smile for everyone as well as a helping hand. A line from a poem his mother wrote about him fills my heart as well as his mother's with the love we had for him:
"The Special man that he's become
Has made me proud that he's my son."
Memorial services were held in Tempe at the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts.
