Betty Jane Randall born July 28, 1921 in Ina, Illinois, was lovingly received by her Lord and Savior on Monday afternoon, December 1, 2008 at the age of eighty-seven.
A resident of Phoenix since 1953, she is survived by her son Bruce and his wife Gina Bode; her grandchildren, Jolie Randall Delja (Chris) and Ian Z. Bode (Kelly Ann); her great-grandchildren, Mikayla, Madeline, Serra Sophia, and Charles Blaise; and her loving friend and caregiver Linda Freeman of Phoenix.
She was pre-deceased by her parents Ivan and Mildred Cox of Mt. Vernon, Illinois, and her husband Calvin, of Phoenix.
Betty was a proud veteran of WWII, having served in the Women's Army Corps (WAC) in the Philippines and New Guinea.
She was a generous, loving, and caring parent, grandmother, and great-grandmother with a life-long affection for animals of all kinds. In recent years she enjoyed services at North Hills Church, a hug from Pastor Steve, and coffee and doughnuts at Lamar's.
Visitation at 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 5, with a service at 2:00 p.m., at Phoenix Memorial Park and Mortuary, 200 W. Beardsley Road, Phoenix (on the frontage road on the north side of the 101 Freeway, between 7th Street and 7th Avenue.)
