RANDALL, Betty Jane

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona December 2008 Betty Jane Randall born July 28, 1921 in Ina, Illinois, was lovingly received by her Lord and Savior on Monday afternoon, December 1, 2008 at the age of eighty-seven. A resident of Phoenix since 1953, she is survived by her son Bruce and his wife Gina Bode; her grandchildren, Jolie Randall Delja (Chris) and Ian Z. Bode (Kelly Ann); her great-grandchildren, Mikayla, Madeline, Serra Sophia, and Charles Blaise; and her loving friend and caregiver Linda Freeman of Phoenix. She was pre-deceased by her parents Ivan and Mildred Cox of Mt. Vernon, Illinois, and her husband Calvin, of Phoenix. Betty was a proud veteran of WWII, having served in the Women's Army Corps (WAC) in the Philippines and New Guinea. She was a generous, loving, and caring parent, grandmother, and great-grandmother with a life-long affection for animals of all kinds. In recent years she enjoyed services at North Hills Church, a hug from Pastor Steve, and coffee and doughnuts at Lamar's. Visitation at 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 5, with a service at 2:00 p.m., at Phoenix Memorial Park and Mortuary, 200 W. Beardsley Road, Phoenix (on the frontage road on the north side of the 101 Freeway, between 7th Street and 7th Avenue.)
