ZELNICK, Barbara (Bobbie)


The Prescott Courier, Prescott, Arizona August 9, 2011 Barbara "Bobbie" Zelnick Feb. 8, 1917 - Aug. 5, 2011 Bobbie and family came to Arizona in 1918. She was a strong, creative entrepreneur who was involved with many projects and loved her business of teaching gem faceting. She was known by many in the Prescott jazz scene. Bobbie will be remembered as a loving, amazing, accomplished woman who always found the good in others. She is survived by her daughter Loretta Barratt-Alden; son-in-law John; grandchildren Sharon Shaw, Kristie Richardson, Gina Sherwyn, Linda Silva and Laura Barratt; 11 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and a large extended family. Bobbie was predeceased by son Larry Barratt, husbands Noel Barratt and Mel Zelnick, and all of her three siblings. Visitation will be at 10:30 a.m. with services at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 12, 2011, at Heritage Memory Mortuary, 131 Grove Ave., Prescott. Information provided by survivors.
