Ruth Lucille Kramer 86, passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home in Scottsdale on June 10, 2012. She was born in Oak Park, Ill. and was a resident of Globe since 1958.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, John N. Kramer. She is survived by her son, John Kramer Jr. (Linda) of Sullivan, Ind.; Kim Kramer (Dan Johnson) of Anthem, Ariz.; Ellen Tresnak (Frank) of Scottsdale, Ariz.; two granddaughters, Emily and Courtney; four grandsons, John, Drew, Matthew and Kyle; three great-grandsons; sister, Lenore; and two brothers, Paul and Dennis.
Ruth was a member of St. Peter’s Ev Lutheran Church in Globe and especially enjoyed directing youth choirs and teaching Sunday school. Civic organizations she belonged to were: The General Federation of Women’s Club State and District levels; Women’s Club of Globe; Cobre Valley Junior Women’s Club; Yei Bei Chi Women’s Club; Old Dominion Library Board; Scout Leader; Toastmistress International; East Globe PTA; Opti-Mrs Club of Globe; The Gila County Guidance Clinic Board; EAARC, Inc. Board; and was a past director of the Gila County Senior Citizens.
Ruth had been employed by the State of Arizona Employment Division, Gila County Courthouse, Gila American Newspaper, and McFall Auto Parts. Her interests were music, drama and people, both young and elderly, and most recently an avid fan of Weber State Basketball.
