STANLEY, Kensi Jo

Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, Arizona Wednesday, June 20, 2012 Our beautiful, sweet Kensi Jo Stanley, 11, was granted her angel wings on June 19, 2012 following a valiant battle with cancer. Her final months were spent surrounded by family and friends who Kensi had touched in her short, yet very memorable life. Her kind spirit and angel eyes left an indelible impression. Kensi leaves behind many people who loved her including the Santan school community in Chandler, who supported her throughout her illness. We are grateful for her caregivers, especially Dr. James Williams, Sasha Gurrola, and the rest of his loving staff. Kensi is survived by her loving mother, Melissa (Missy) Stanley and father Stephan Upton. Her brother Kobe along with her beloved dog Madie. Grandparents Linda & Don Kopp of Oshkosh, WI; Glenda & Kenny Stanley of Flagstaff, AZ and Gerald Upton of Shreveport, LA. Uncle Jeff (Bugsy) & Aunt Karen Stanley of Flagstaff, cousin Connor and Aunt Stephanie Valenzula. A celebration of life will be held June 22 at 10:00 at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, Gilbert AZ.
