Kingman Daily Miner, Kingman, AZ - Published on June 19, 2012 - Richard Lee Flinchum, 79, died Friday, June 15, 2012, at his home in Kingman. He was born in Campbell County, Va., March 20, 1933, to the late Eugene Harrison and Callie Smith Flinchum. Dick was the devoted husband of Betty Pryor Flinchum for almost 60 years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Richard Lee Flinchum Jr. and wife Gayle of Apple Valley, Calif.; daughters, F. Carol Cartledge and husband Chuck of Victorville, Calif., Kathy Lynn Galbraith and husband Dennis of Hope Mills, N.C., and Janet Elaine Heald and husband Craig of Upland, Calif.; and his sister, Elizabeth Flinchum Teague of Lynchburg, Va. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Eugene Flinchum; and his sister, Geraldine Flinchum Thompson. Private services for family members will be held at a future date.
