BURNSIDE,
Carol Jean

Carol Jean Burnside left her earthly body on Thursday, June 14, 2012. She peacefully died at the Good Samaritan Hospice Marley House.
Carol has been a resident of Prescott since 2006. Carol loved life in so many ways. Nobody was a stranger; she loved to entertain and cook for friends and family. She was involved in many crafts including ceramics and designing cards and teaching classes in card making. She was an avid homemaker and always enjoyed having her home and garden look its best.
Carol is survived by her husband of 48 years, Bernie Burnside; daughter and son-in-law Debbie and Wade Behling; son and granddaughter Jeff and Savannah McReynolds; and her beloved cat, Chelsea. Her family and friends will miss her greatly.
Carol did not wish to have a funeral. She wanted her ashes taken to California and spread into the ocean near Pismo Beach at MontaƱa De Oro.
The family wants to say a special thank-you to everyone who cared for Carol in her struggle over the past two years. The people at Good Samaritan went above and beyond in their care for her. Since she was not able to travel to the beach, they brought the beach to her on one of her stays at the Marley House. She loved everyone there and always spoke highly of all the staff.
We will miss her very much but are comforted knowing she is no longer in pain, is at peace and also, knowing we will see her again.
