Mohave Daily News, Mohave Valley, AZ - Published in Mohave Daily News Online from June 24 to July 1, 2012 - Dona Lee Bauhof, age 80, a 31-year resident of Bullhead City, Ariz., passed away on Friday, March 16, 2012, in Sutherlin, Ore. She was born on December 28, 1931, in Chicago, Ill., to Kenneth and Madge (Fiscus) Compton. During her youth, the family moved to Highland Park, Calif. After finishing school, she met her soul-mate, Carl H. Bauhof and they had two children, Dara L. (Bauhof) Moore and Carl (Chuck) H. Bauhof III. After retirement, Dona and Carl built two homes, one in Oregon and one in Arizona. Dona loved volunteering and volunteered at the hospital in Bullhead City, Meals on Wheels, crocheting afghans for fundraisers at Elk's Club, calling bingo, anything to help. She was even Volunteer of the Year one year. Dona will be greatly missed by her daughter, son-in-law, granddaughters, sister, her family, great-grandkids and all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her husband, her son and parents. Dona is survived by her daughter, Dara (Don) Moore of Oakland, Ore.; sister, Wanda Kay (Pete) Glos of Idaho; two nephews, Mark and Kurt Glos and their families; sister-in-law, Doris Barenchi and son Skip (Olga); two granddaughters, Cayce (Pete) Meagher of Eugene, Ore. and Cori ( Cameron) Yarbrough of Chelan, Wash; seven great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, all who will miss her immensely. No services will be held. Send love and prayers. They will be greatly received. A special thanks to Chantele's Loving Touch Memory Care for all the special care and the prayers and Hospice, although we did not have hospice, they were there for her at the critical time.
