Kay, as she was known by most people who knew her, was born Lois Kay Pyle on August 16, 1936, in Alliance, Nebraska. She was the daughter of Ken and Lucille Pyle and their only child. She grew up on their farm in Alliance and later her parents relocated to California.
After moving to Michigan as an adult, she worked in a piano factory for some years before finding her real niche, waitressing. She was one of the best waitresses no matter who she worked for, be it in food service or as a cocktail waitress.
In 1972, she met the love of her life. She and her husband Roger were married in February, 1973. Kay brought four children into the marriage and Roger three. Later the were two more. She was a terrific mother to all the children.
She went to be with Jesus on June 19, 2012 after a long battle with cancer.
Kay leaves behind her loving husband Roger, her daughter Gloria, and son-in-law Bill Sadler, and sons Raymond, Mark, Greg, and Jason. She also leaves behind her stepsons Roger Jr., Jim, Bill, as we as many grandchildren and some great grandchildren. She was deeply loved by her family and her many friends. She will be missed.
