Charles (Chuck) Ramuz, 76, died June 22, 2012 at 10:30 a.m., at home surrounded by his family and friends after battling Alzheimer’s for years.
Chuck was the assistant plant manager of manufacturing at McCulloch Corp., here in Lake Havasu City, when he retired in 1995, after 41 years. He first started at McCulloch upon graduation from high school at the age of 18, in Los Angeles, Calif., in 1953.
He is survived by his wife, Arlene; his son, Paul; his son and daughter-in-law, David and Kathy; his two grandchildren, Makenna and Steven; and numerous close friends.
Chuck and Arlene were high school sweethearts and their passion for each other only grew over the years. They had just celebrated their 58th anniversary.
An avid golfer, Chuck always said it was a sport he could play forever. Unfortunately, he didn’t count on Alzheimer’s to take that dream away from him.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, at the family home, with a short prayer service and luncheon at 2 p.m. Friends and the caring staff of New Hope Hospice are most welcome. In lieu of flowers, please forward any donation to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Arrangements were placed under the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
