Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Published Monday, June 25, 2012 - Robert James Taylor passed away peacefully June 21, 2012 in Lake Havasu City, at the age of 80. Bob, as he was known by his family and friends, was born Nov. 23, 1931, in Cresco, Iowa, to Carl and Naomi Mary (Dalton) Strock. Bob worked for General Telephone for more than 40 years and was very dedicated to his employer. Bob and his wife, Lana, made Lake Havasu City their new home 12 years ago. Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Lana Taylor; daughter, Randi Shively, of Bullhead City, Ariz.; sons, Cory Taylor, of Bullhead City, Ariz., and Cole Taylor, of Sparks, Nev.; sisters, Jerilyn Clausi, of Washougal, Wash., and Karen Hazard, of Las Vegas, Nev.; grandchildren, Taryn, Christopher, Michael, Randy, Bo, Cierra, Hayley, Aaron and Peyton; great-grandchildren, Kaylynn, Anna, Zadee, Jonathan and Aiden; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. He was loved by his entire family and will be missed by all. Services are to be Thursday, at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. Rosary will be said at 10:30 a.m., followed by the Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bob’s “Angels” at Hospice of Havasu PO Box 597 Lake Havasu City, AZ 86405.
