Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, Arizona Wednesday, June 27, 2012 Joseph “Joe” Ramos, age 58 of Globe, Ariz., passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at Arizona Burn Center in Phoenix, Ariz. He was born in Globe, Ariz. on Aug. 25, 1953 to Josephine Sanchez and Justin (Nano) Ramos. Joe graduated from Globe High School in 1972. After graduation, he enlisted in the Marine Corp and honorably served our country for two years. He was in the military reserves for four years and honorably discharged. Joe worked at Inspiration Consolidated Mining Company and then ventured into construction work. Joe loved being with his family. He also loved playing poker and pool with all of his friends. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him. Joe is preceded in death by his parents, Josephine Sanchez and Justin (Nano) Ramos; his brothers, Albert, Paul, and Daniel Sanchez; and his sister, Margie Calvillo. He leaves behind four brothers, Pat Sanchez (Frances), John Sanchez (Bea), Ray Ramos (Sandy), and Richard Ramos (Kateri); five sisters, Hortensia Lopez, Eleanor Cummings, Mary Miller (Larry), Isabel Madrid (Ray), and Sally Magaña; Godchildren, Michael Magaña, Cherron Alonzo, Rochelle Sanchez, Andrea Candelaria; as well as numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Joe will be remembered for his big heart, generosity, and loving person that he was. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at Holy Angels Roman Catholic Church, 201 S. Broad St. in Globe, Ariz. Rosary will be at 9 a.m. followed by Mass. Joe will be laid to rest at the Globe Cemetery with military honors.
