Mohave Daily News, Mohave Valley, AZ - Published in Mohave Daily News Online from June 26 to July 3, 2012 - Jerry Long, age 73, a 35-year resident of Mohave County, Ariz., passed away with his family by his side on Thursday, June 21, 2012, at home in Golden Valley, Ariz. He was born January 2, 1939, in Evansville, Ind. Jerry was a respected builder for 30 years in the Tri- State area. Jerry will be loved forever and in our hearts always. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Joanne; son, Randy; daughter, Pamela; eight grandchildren, and six great-grand children. A celebration of life for Jerry will be held for family and friends at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 28, 2012, at Desert Lawn Funeral Home, 9250 South Ranchero Lane, Mohave Valley, Ariz. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made in Jerry's name to one of his favorite charities, "Feed the Children" at: feedthechildren.org or PO Box 36, Oklahoma City, OK 73101.
