West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona Tuesday, July 03, 2012 Joseph Barela Perez, 49, of Avondale died June 25, 2012, at his home. Mr. Perez was born Oct. 19, 1962, in Moorhead, Minn., to Ramona and Estancio. He moved to Arizona in 1966 and worked as a forklift operator in warehousing. He was a member of St. Matthews Catholic Church and Catalyst Church. He is survived by two daughters, Xylina Perez Tinoco and Samantha; and two grandchildren. A rosary will be recited at 8:30 a.m. Friday at St. Matthew's Catholic Church, 320 N. 20th Drive in Phoenix. A funeral Mass will start at 9 a.m., with a burial to follow at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery, 2300 W. Van Buren St. in Phoenix.
