BOIVIN, Ovila Joseph

Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Published Monday, July 2, 2012 >> Ovila Joseph Boivin << >> May 8, 1929 — June 27, 2012 << Pete Boivin, 83, passed away in Kingman after a short illness. Pete was born in Sawyerville, Quebec, Canada, to Clara LaPage and Joseph Boivin. He was preceded in death by his parents, seven sisters and two brothers. Pete is survived by his wife, Arline Boivin; daughter, Michelle Boivin; son, Rick Boivin; stepsons, Rick Ober and Steven Ober; grandson, Adam Boivin; and granddaughters, Chelsey McGuinness and Tori McGuinness. Pete was in the service for three years from 1949 through 1953. He taught heavy construction to the men so they could do the jobs they were assigned. Overseas he did the same things — teach the men how to use the equipment that they were working with. After he got out of the service he worked in construction wherever he could find work. He hauled logs out of the woods in the winter to the mills to be cut. He married Arline Biovin in 1965, and started a home and apartment construction business. They moved to New York, where he built for 10 years. Construction died out so they relocated back to New Hampshire where they stayed awhile before moving to Arizona where they have been for 27 years. Services will be July 21 at 2 p.m. at the Lakeview Community Church, 1699 W. Acoma Blvd., Lake Havasu City. Arrangements were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
