Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Published Tuesday, July 3, 2012 Allen D. Asendorf (Jan. 13, 1942 — June 29, 2012) Allen Asendorf passed away peacefully while in the comforting care of Hospice of Havasu, the Polidori House June 29 at the age of 70. Allen served in various administrative positions in public education for over 25 years, retiring from Hesperia Unified School District in California as Assistant Superintendent, Business Services in 2000. He spent the next two years serving as Interim Superintendent of Schools for Rancho Cucamonga School District and Silver Valley School District before officially retiring in Lake Havasu in 2003. He enjoyed working for several years at London Bridge Golf Course where he made many friends. He had a good life in Lake Havasu with boating, golfing, Jeeping and camping with wonderful friends. Allen is survived by his wife and best friend of 26 years, Julie; stepson, Mark; daughters, Kimberly and Johnna; son, Christian; and five grandchildren. Allen will be deeply missed by his family and friends who will never forget his sense of humor.
