COOPER, Lee (Coop) Lyle


The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Tuesday, July 03, 2012 Lee "Coop" Cooper On June 10, 2012, Lee Lyle Cooper quietly passed on with family at his bedside. Dad recently celebrated his 87th birthday on March 17, surrounded by his family and friends. While in his teens, Lee joined the U.S. Marine Corps and proudly served during WWII. Semper Fi, Dad. In 1953, Lee and wife Mary with their four children moved from Iowa to Phoenix, Ariz. Lee joined the first group of City of Phoenix's Building Inspection Department and this is where Lee became known as "Coop." Twenty-five years later, Coop and Mary retired to where they called "God's Country," Prescott, Ariz. Survivors are their four children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family wishes to express their gratitude for all the care, kindness and friendship shown to their folks over these many, many years. Cheerio, Dad. Information provided by survivors.
