Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, Arizona Wednesday, July 04, 2012 Victoria (VTara) Ruscher – born March 1, 1956; passed into spirit June 17, 2012. Born in Omaha, NE and moved to Flagstaff in 1995, VTara was trained as a rebirther, Flower of Life facilitator and Reiki Master. As an artist she worked with drawing, painting, jewelry and fabric arts. Her family enjoyed camping and traveling to beautiful natural places in the desert Southwest, Pacific Northwest, Mexico and Germany. A graduate of the Flagstaff Leadership Program, she was an active volunteer in a variety of community action and service groups including the Artists’ Coalition, Climb to Cure Cancer, and Further Shore. Preceded in death by her father, Clyde Sheard, Sr.; former husband, Dale Pavlik; and niece, Elizabeth Pankievicz. She is survived by her husband, Chuck Ruscher; children, Kristine and Joseph Pavlik; grandson Rhys Pavlik; mother Betty J. Sheard; brothers, Clyde, Jr. (Debbie), Andy (Kelly), Mike (Kelly), and Kevin (Melissa); sisters, Deana Pankievicz (Don), Mary Vokes (Ken), and Amy Hawbaker (Shad); numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. Memorial and Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, July 7, at the Nordic Center about 15 miles outside Flagstaff on Highway 180 at Mile Marker 232. Gathering for social time begins at 5:00 p.m. and ceremony from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Direct questions to info@furthershore.org.
