Messinger Indian School Mortuary, Scottsdale, Arizona Inez Perry February 16, 1918 ~ July 1, 2012 Inez (Anne) PERRY was called softly to her eternal life Sunday, July 1, 2012. Born in Decaturville, Tennessee to Fielder and Onie Volner Feb. 16, 1918, one of 11 children. She graduated from Baptist Memorial Hospital nursing school in 1941 and joined the U.S. Navy during WW2 as an Ensign. In 1943 she married Don, then a Lieutenant in the Air Force, who was quickly transferred to England for 4 years; Inez had to resign her post and joined the Kaiser Permanente Hospital of Oakland, CA, as a surgical nurse. Their family comprised of 2 boys, Donald Stephen and Thomas Ashton. As a military family for 26 years, they were stationed in England, in Newfoundland, at the Pentagon, then in Montana, New York and California. Don retired as a Colonel in 1965 and they ultimately moved to Arizona. After Don’s death in 1982, Inez became a Real Estate Broker with Moerkerke Realty for 30 years during which time she lost both her son Thomas Ashton in 1988 and her grandson Stephen in 1994. Inez attended Chaparral Christian Church for 20 years and delighted in having lived a full and wonderful life.
