Clark Elliott Wallner, loving father, son, brother and friend passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 8, 2005 at the home of his parents in Sun City. Clark was born in Jamestown, North Dakota on March 16, 1949 to Ray and Alice Wallner. He graduated from Forest Grove High School in Forest Grove, Oregon.
After graduation, he joined the United States Navy and proudly served during the Vietnam War on the USS Ranger. Upon his return, he met and married Linda Jarvi, of Gaston, Oregon in 1974 and later divorced in 1987. Clark worked in the Cold Storage and Home Construction Industries until his retirement in 2003. Clark moved to Phoenix in 1999.
He is survived by his parents, Ray and Alice Wallner of Sun City, Arizona; brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Lori Wallner of Forest Grove, Oregon; three wonderful children: Alison Harvey (Jason - husband), Matthew Wallner and Erin Wallner; and his only grandchild, Austin Wallner, all of Surprise, Arizona; two nephews: Michael and Nathan Wallner of Forest Grove, Oregon; one niece, Amy Wallner of Portland, Oregon; and countless friends.
A celebration of life will begin with a viewing at the Fountain of Life Lutheran Church in Sun City, Arizona, on Wednesday, September 14, 2005 at 10:00 A.M., followed by a service at 11:00 A.M. He will then be laid to rest at 12:30 P.M. at the National Memorial Cemetery in Phoenix.
