KRAPELL, Doris Helen *

Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, Arizona Sunday, July 08, 2012 Doris Helen (Barnes) Cogdill Krapell, Doris, 100, of Peoria, AZ joined her Beloved Lord Jesus Christ, two husbands, son, daughter and friends in heaven on June 17, 2012. She was born on June 26, 1911 in Vancouver, B.C., and she married Eugene (Bud) Clark Cogdill on her seventeenth birthday, June 26, 1928. Doris and Bud lived in Flagstaff, AZ until Bud’s untimely death on October 8, 1963. They had four children together: Ralph Clark Cogdill October 1, 1929 who died at birth; Kenneth Clark Cogdill, January 19, 1932, who currently resides in Summit, NJ and Surprise, AZ with wife Martha Jane; Yvonne Helen (Cogdill) Kincanon, August 31, 1935, who died from auto-accident injuries on September 2, 1983; and Karen Marie (Cogdill) Laechelin, August 5, 1943 who resides in McQueney, TX with husband Gary. Karen was married to Larry Simmons of Mesa, AZ until his untimely death on February 13, 2005. After moving from Flagstaff, AZ to Sun City, AZ Doris married Harold W. Krapell on October 26, 1974. Harold died on January 10, 1992. Doris will be sorely missed. She is survived by her son and daughter, Ken Cogdill and Karen Laechelin, three Cogdill grandsons: Craig Laurence, Charles Philip and Steven Donald; three granddaughters: Lorie Lynn (Kincanon) Weber, Lani Marie Simmons , and Theresa (Simmons) Brown; Thirteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Doris will be buried in Flagstaff Community Cemetery, Flagstaff, Arizona at noon on July 27, 2012. This obituary was prepared by the Advertising Department (928) 556-2262.
