Richard W "Dick" Stone, 83, of Troy Township, entered eternal rest peacefully Wednesday evening, May 16, 2012, at Hospice House of the Western Reserve in Cleveland.
He was born June 5, 1928, to the late Gay and Delores Stone. He leaves behind his loving wife of 36 years, Marillyn.
Dick was active in heavy equipment construction even in his final days. He was also retired from the Ohio Operating Engineers Union in Ohio.
Dick was a U.S. Army veteran, who served in the Korean Conflict. He always loved his friendships, had a smile on his face and enjoyed sharing stories. His advice was always to "do it while you are young because you may never get the opportunity to do it later in life."
Dick will be missed by his lovng wife; sons, Daniel (Linda) Stone of Burton and David (Debra) Stone of Wickenburg, Ariz; stepdaughters, Koni Casey of Woodbridge, VA, and Kathy Munn of Troy; grandchildren, Mallori, Mack, Aaron and Addie Stone; stepgrandchildren, Michele, Megan, Carissa and Courtney; four step-greatgranchildren; sister, Jean Lilly; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Walt; and nephew, Mark Stone.
A celebration of Dick's life will be held at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Best Funeral Home, 15809 Madison Road, Middlefield.
