Julia Pauline McNabb, of Holbrook, Navajo County, Arizona passed away on July 5, 2012 in Show Low, Navajo County, Arizona. She was 93. Julia was born to the late Albert and Antonionette (Zelletti) Fracassini on March 18, 1919 in Durango, LaPlata County, Colorado.
Julia had a very unique sense of humor that allowed her to never meet a stranger. She loved to cook and was mostly known throughout Holbrook for her angel food cakes. She was very active in the Holbrook Community having served as a hospital auxiliary volunteer when Holbrook still had a hospital.
She also worked a telephone operator in Holbrook for Mr. Henning before moving to the business office for Western States Telephone Company. Following her time with the telephone company she worked at City Drug Store for many years. A true “Lady” she will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her daughter, Judy Queen of Show Low; sons: Teddy McNabb (Mona) of Holbrook and Jimmy McNabb of Holbrook; sister, Lena Buchanan of California; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren as well as nine great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore F. McNabb; a grandson, Richard McNabb and a granddaughter-in-law, Jerry Anne Queen.
The Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday July 11, 2012 with a viewing beginning at 6 p.m. at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 212 E. Arizona, Holbrook. The Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday July 12, 2012 also at the church. Interment will follow in the Holbrook Cemetery.
