Slain Glendale woman remembered A memorial service for Yuliya Kumirova of Glendale was held April 15 at Phoenix Memorial Cemetery. Rabbi Dan Hayman officiated. Kumirova, a 38-year-old teacher at Trevor G. Browne High School and Glendale Community College, disappeared Oct. 31, 2003. Her body was found April 9. She moved to Arizona from Uzbekistan in the former Soviet Union. She is survived by her husband, Sergey; sons, Vladik and Dima; parents, Vera and Boris Babadzhanov of Glendale; and brother, Yiriy Babadzhanov. Funeral arrangements were made by Sinai Mortuary.
