Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, Arizona Wednesday, July 11, 2012 Mrs. Jeannette Catherine Boyd, 80, having lived in Globe, Ariz. since 1974, died July 29, 2012 of natural causes. She was born April 4, 1932, in Lorain, Ohio, the daughter of the late Donald and Catherine Bullock. She was the eldest of four siblings. She graduated from Tucson High School in 1950. On May 30, 1952 she married Jacob R. Boyd. She is the beloved mother of six children. Her life was faithfully offered to her husband, motherhood and to the service of others. She was a dedicated servant to her God through the way she lived her life and faithful member of Holy Angels Catholic Church. Her ground breaking efforts paved the way to help the developmentally disabled in the Globe area and the State of Arizona. Her service included her work with Special Olympics and membership on The Governor’s Council for the Mentally Disabled. She never failed to serve when called. Jeannette is survived by her son, Richard (Patricia) Boyd of San Tan Valley, Ariz.; daughter, Sarah Kiespert of Edmond, Okla.; and daughter, Callie Ann (Michael) Ray of Globe, Ariz.; grandchildren, Jacob Boyd of Perkins, Okla., Jeffery Kiespert of Edmond, Okla.; Lucas Boyd of Stillwater, Okla.; Jason Kiespert of Moore, Okla.; Aaron Ray of Globe, Ariz.; Daniel Boyd of San Tan Valley, Ariz.; and Kimberly Boyd of San Tan Valley, Ariz.; and six great-grandchildren; sister, Carol Guttery of Mesa, Ariz.; sister, Letty Cappelli, of Tucson, Ariz.; and brother, David Bullock of Tucson. Jeannette was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob R. Boyd; her daughter, Catherine Boyd; her son, Douglas Boyd; and her son, Mathew Boyd; and son-in-law, Billy Kiespert. Any donations can be made to Holy Angels Catholic Church in Globe, Arizona or any fund set aside for the developmentally disabled. Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 10, 2012, at Holy Angels’ Catholic Church, 201 S. Broad Street, in Globe, Ariz. Funeral arrangements for Jeannette C. Boyd were entrusted to Miles Funeral Services Globe.
