KETCHUM, Gary Edward


Gary Edward Ketchum, born June 8th 1956 in Belleville, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, June 5th, 2007 at the age of 50. A legendary chef, he was the father of one daughter, but dad to many. Gary was the only son of Edward and Irene Ketchum. He was preceded in death by his wife, the late Tonia Kay Ketchum. Gary was the Executive Chef of the Capital Hotel in Little Rock, Arkansas and previously cooked for President George Bush, Sr. and Governor Bill Clinton. Most recently the 2006 Reserve Grand Champion at the Jack Daniel's World Invitational in Lynchburg, Tennessee. Gary will be missed by his daughter, Anasa Ketchum, companion Terry Oriaku, and countless friends. A memorial service was held on Saturday, June 9 at Messinger Mortuary, 7601 E.
