ARMSTRONG, Helen M.


Helen M. Armstrong of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2007 at the wonderful age of 96, spirited to the end. Helen was the youngest of seven brothers and sisters and was born in Larksville, Pennsylvania on December 10, 1910. She resided in Buffalo, New York for nearly fifty years before relocating to Phoenix with her husband Matthew. Helen was devoted to her faith and her family, and was a long-time member of St. Francis Xavier Parish. She is survived by her daughter Sandra Thomson, son-in-law Dr. Brendan D. Thomson, and grandsons Brendan Matthew, his wife Stephanie, and Ryan and Michael Thomson and by her son Donald Armstrong, daughter-in-law Mary, and grandsons James and Matthew Armstrong. Visitation was held on Friday, June 8, 2007, with a rosary service at Hansen Chapel, 8314 N. Seventh St., Phoenix. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Saturday, June 9, 2007, at Brophy Chapel, 4701 N. Central Ave., Phoenix.
