HOOVER, Gloria F.

Gloria F. Hoover, 61, of Mesa, AZ passed to Heaven on March 30, 2004 after a 21-year battle with cancer. She was born Gloria Faye Denney on July 14, 1942 in Crab Orchard (Lexington), Kentucky, but spent her youth in Columbus, Indiana, where she met and married Roy E. Hoover in 1961. They moved to Mesa in 1967, where she attended Mesa Community College, and was a Notary Public. Gloria loved children and spent 10 years as a Day Care Teacher. She was known best as a person that only saw the good in people and never saw the bad. Each day was taken as a gift from God, and she always had kind words and a smile right up to the end. Her leaving has left us with grieving hearts, as she will be missed everyday for the rest of our lives. Her family and friends are forever blessed with memories of her kindness, love, courage, and faith. She is preceded in death by her brother, Donald Denney; and Grandson, Sean O'Brien-Hoover. Gloria is survived by her husband of 42 years, Roy E. Hoover; sons: Steve and John; daughter Laura; sisters: Grace Kern and Martha Dick; grandchildren: Nickolas and Christopher; daughter in-laws: Mary and Kathy. A visitation was held on Friday, April 2, 2004 at Meldrum Mortuary, 52 N. Macdonald St. in Mesa. Services were held on Saturday, April 3, 2004 at Meldrum Mortuary.
