HICKEY, Richard J.

Richard J. Hickey, 83, passed away peacefully at his home in Scottsdale, AZ March 27, 2004. 

Born in Chicago, IL where he met and married his wife, Patricia in 1942. 

Richard attended Yale University, served in the US Army Air Corps during World War II snd pursued a career in Electrical Contracting. He owned and operated McWilliams Electric Co., Inc. and OK Electric In the Chicago area. He was a member of the IBEW Local Union 134. An active participant in IBEW Local Union 701 and Vice President of the Illinois Chapter of the National Electrical Contracting Association. 

Mr. Hickey retired to Arizona in 1978 and was able to devote more time to his favorite pastimes of flying, travel and golf. 

Richard is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Patricia, Sons Roger (Donna) Hickey, Robert (Paula) Hickey & Rick (Claire) Hickey and Daughters Jill (Dan) Zak & Jayne Hickey and seven grandchildren. 

Memorial mass was held April 1 at St. Joan of Arc Church. 3801 E. Greenway Rd., Phoenix, AZ, Additional services were held in Illinois.
