Betty Jane ‘Peppmuller’ Graves left her earthly bonds on July 8, 2012 in Lake Havasu City.
Born Sept. 9, 1923, in National City, Calif., daughter to Ernest and Esther and sister to Shirley, Carol and Dodi, all waiting for her with big smiles and hugs.
Betty‘s life was a blend of unique experiences and love. She worked in her early life at Warner Brothers Studio from mailroom to understudy. She sang often during World War II at the Hollywood Canteen entertaining our boys in the service.
Betty worked for NBC in Burbank, Calif., in the programming department for many years.
She fell in love with and married Joseph S. Graves in 1950, a big band trumpet player who left her side after 46 years of marriage. They are together again dancing up a storm.
Betty loved to golf, bowl and travel. She was president of the Musician Wives Union in Las Vegas and offered her help to several charities.
She was a loving mother to daughters, Jill Winchester and Jodi Creager, both of Lake Havasu City. And of course she loved her son-in-law, Richard; and her wonderful nieces and nephews.
Betty is traveling once again… Journey on, Mom… we love you!
