Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Published Thursday, July 12, 2012 - Johnny Walker, beloved husband, son, brother, nephew and uncle passed, away July 10, 2012 at home in Lake Havasu City. Johnny was born July 20, 1973 in Lake Havasu City, one of the first babies born at the Havasu Community Hospital. He was the first born of two children of Steve and Linda (Ragsdale) Walker. Johnny married Sonja Walker May 1, 1996. During their 16 years of marriage, they resided in Lake Havasu City. Johnny was a member of God’s Grace Church in Lake Havasu. He spent most of his working career at Bashas’ supermarket in Lake Havasu City and the Food City store in Bullhead City. He retired early due to an injury, but always felt that he was a part of the Bashas’ family. Johnny lost his beloved mother, Linda, just last October. He is survived by his wife, Sonja of Lake Havasu City; father, Steve, of Lake Havasu City; sister, Kathy (Joe) Whitson, of Modesto, Calif.; grandfather, JD Jones, of Mexico; nephews, Angel and Hezekiah Whitson and niece, Elizabeth Whitson; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins who will miss him very much. A memorial service will be held at God’s Grace Church, 1535 El Camino Dr in Lake Havasu City on Thursday, July 12 at 5 p.m. Condolences can be sent to the family at www.lakehavasumortuary.com.
