Josephine Anna Van Keuren
We celebrate and remember the life of Josephine Anna Van Keuren, born April 16, 1951, in Prescott, Ariz. Surrounded by her loving family, she went home to Jesus on July 12, 2012. Josephine was one of seven children, born of the late Arthur and Mary Parra.
Josephine served in the United States Marine Corps, 1969- 1971, in the communications unit. She then went on to study accounting and computers at San Juan College in Farmington, N.M.
Jo will be forever remembered and loved by her beloved husband of 31 years, Ken Van Keuren; son and daughter-in-law Chad and Melanie; grandchildren, Jaxon, Grace and Eli; son and daughter-in-law Josh and Cristi; grandchildren, Cole and Hagen; daughter and son-in-law Leah and EJ; grandson Alden; and son and daughter-in-law Ty and Sammi. She leaves behind her faithful companions and loyal horse Rag Time Cowboy Jay, dog Shiloh and Kat.
Jo took pride in her job as "keeper of the home," she was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, enjoyed reading, yoga, hunting, camping and will forever be a real cowgirl. "My heart is as open as the sky, hopeful and fearless."
A celebration of her life will be 10 a.m. Sunday, July 15, 2012 at Prescott VA Chapel. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Prescott VA CLC "Hero's Unit."
