MORENO, Manuel Abiano

Manuel Abiano Moreno, 85, was born in Tucson, AZ on June 6, 1918. 

He passed away on March 29 at the Gardiner House, Hospice of the Valley in Phoenix. Mr. Moreno was a long-time employee of the Arizona Republic after moving to Phoenix from Ray, AZ. 

Prior to relocating his family to Phoenix, he was a truck driver & driver instructor at the open pit mine of Ray Mines Division at Ray/Sonora Arizona. 

He is survived by a sister Wendy Breidinger, & his children: Abiano (Norma), Maria Elena, Manuel Ramon (Margaret), Rose Marie Vega (David), Francisco (Cheryl), & Kristine Moreno, his step children: Rosalee Tarango, George Alvarez, Lucy Goodman (Walter), Louie Martinez (Patti), & Anita Valenzuela (Fred); 41 grandchildren & 49 great-grandchildren. 

A memorial service was at The Church on Fillmore, 745 W. Fillmore St. Phx, AZ on Friday, April 2.
