Garret C.H. Chun, Ahwatukee, passed away Mar. 27, 2004 in Mesa.
Garret was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on Aug. 10, 1952.
He received all his education in Honolulu graduating from Chaminade College. While living in Honolulu, Garret was an active member in the Honolulu J.C.'s. His professional career brought him to Arizona in 1984. Garret became very active in the Y.M.C.A. Princess/ Trailmates program and the girls volleyball program where he was a coach. Garret also spear-headed and trained women and girls in Personal Protection and Refuse to be a Victim program for seniors.
Garret is survived by his wife Betty, daughter Jillian a student at Mountain Pointe High School. His mother Miriam Chun, brother Gordon Chun, sisters, Gaye Fujimoto, Ganette Copeland, all of Honolulu, Geri Coombs San Jose, CA., many nieces and nephews, the McKee family of AZ. and a host of many loving friends.
A memorial service was held Saturday, Apr. 3 at City in the Desert Metro Church, 140 E. Apache Tr., Tempe.
