UPSHAW, Lawrence

Rev. Lawrence Upshaw, 39, died Wed., Oct. 11, 1989, at Phoenix Memorial Hospital.  

Rev. Upshaw was a minister at the Assembly of God Church.  He was a native of Safford and a graduate of the American Indian Bible College.  

He is survived by his wife, Marcelline; sons, Lawrence, Jr., Arvin, Gabriel and Jonathan; daughters, Michelle and Rachel; mother, Irene Upshaw of Bylas; sister Cornelia Contee of Bylas; brothers, Reede, Abner, Talbot, Mark and Asa, all of Bylas; and a grandchild.  

Services were at Salt River Assembly of God Church in the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community.  Burial in Bylas.
