DALTON, Thomas Patrick


Thomas Patrick Dalton, 90, a native Arizonan, died March 31, 2004. He was born in Phoenix on September 12, 1913, on the family dairy farm, the second son of Mary Ellen Pettid and Christopher Luke Dalton. He attended the Santa Barbara Seminary and Brophy College Prep. After high school, he operated the family farm. Later he worked for the Shamrock Foods Dairy Division from which he retired. He is survived by his wife, Margaret; three sons, T.P. Dalton, Jr. (Sheila) of Arvada, CO, David H. (Jeannie), Philip R. (Linda) and one daughter, Margaret A., all of Phoenix. He is also survived by two sisters, Mary Ellen Swingle and Regina Knapp and ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Tom was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish for over 50 years and was a volunteer for the church and St. Vincent de Paul Society. Viewing was Sunday, April 4th, with the Rosary at Whitney & Murphy Arcadia Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Rd. Mass was Monday, April 5th, at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 2312 E. Campbell Ave. Contributions may be made in Tom's name to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014 and St. Vincent de Paul Society, P.O. Box 13600, Phoenix, AZ 85002.
