HAYS, Glen Dale


Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, Arizona Wednesday, July 18, 2012 Glen Dale Hays, 75, of Globe, Ariz. was born Aug. 7, 1936 to Odus Parks Hays and Gracie Parrish Hays of Appleton, Ark. He went home to be with the Lord peacefully on Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at The Villa Hospice Facility in Mesa, Ariz. Glen was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Emmett Hays of Appleton, Ark. and James Hays of Russellville, Ark. Glen graduated from Hector High School in 1954 and joined the U.S. Army in 1957. He was honorably discharged in 1958 due to medical reasons. Glen lived a full life and was a hard working man in construction and real estate management. Glen is survived by two brothers, Raymond Hays of Appleton, Ark., and Bob Hays of Little Rock, Ark. and Evelyn Moore of Bend, Ore. Glen is survived by his three sons, Robert Hays of Globe, Ariz., Scott Hays of San Manuel, Ariz. and Richard Hays of Purvis, Miss. He has six grandchildren, Brandon Hays of Dardanelle, Ark., Joshua Hays of Dardanelle, Ark., Sarah Hull of Russellville, Ark., Zachery Hays of Sumrall, Miss., Haleigh Hays of Pass Christian, Miss., and Emilie Hays of Purvis, Miss.; and three great grandsons, Preston Hull of Russellville, Ark., and Alexandria and Zachery Hays of Dardanelle, Ark. Glen’s remains were sent to Lemley Funeral Services in Atkens, Ark. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. the day of services. On July 18, 2012 he will be buried in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Hector, Ark., next to his parents and brothers. The three sons Robert, Scott and Richard and three grandsons Brandon, Zachery and Joshua will serve as pallbearers. Rev. Randall Williams will officiate the memorial service.
