Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Published Tuesday, July 17, 2012 - Janice Helen Petersen passed away July 13, 2012 in Lake Havasu City, at the age of 76. Janice was born Aug. 9, 1935, in Clinton, Iowa, to John and Helen Morris. Janice moved to Lake Havasu City in April 2003, from Noevo, Calif., to be near her son and his family. She enjoyed going to the Senior Center to play cards with her friends. She also traveled extensively around the world with Bartlett Tours, making many friends along the way. She also enjoyed camping and motorcycle riding in her earlier years. In her spare time, Janice loved to read. She also loved animals and was a generous contributor to the Western Arizona Humane Society and was a member and contributor to the American Cancer Society. Janice is survived by her son, Eric Petersen and his wife, Martha, of Lake Havasu City; her sister, June Gaare, of Scottsdale, Ariz.; and her three precious grandchildren, Haylee, Kamryn and Quinn Petersen.
