Mohave Daily News, Mohave Valley, AZ - Published in Mohave Daily News Online from July 17 to July 25, 2012 - WALTER RANDOLPF SMITH (1923 - 2012) Walter Randolph Smith, age 89, passed away on Saturday, July 14, 2012, in Long Beach, Calif. Walter served in the U.S. Navy on board a submarine during WWII. He was a long time resident of Twin Peaks, Calif., and spent his retirement years in Willow Valley, Ariz. He was preceeded in death by his wife, Vega and his son, Skobee. Walter is survived by his two daughters, Randi Shreves and Gail Longfellow; two grandsons, Craig and Kurt Bekins; and four great-grandchildren, Emily, Jamie, Katin and Bailee. Walter's ashes, along with those of his wife, Vega, will be spread at the grave of their son Skobee.
