DEKORP, Harold E.


Arizona Daily Star, Tucson, Arizona DeKORP, HAROLD E. Lt. Colonel, USAF. Retired. A former resident of Tubac died April 18, 2006. Born in Bronx, NY, May 3, 1915, he met his wife, Virginia Lowe, a Tubac native, in Tucson after WWII, and they were married in 1945. After retirement, they returned to Tubac in 1980. Harold was a member of the Green Valley Bowling League, the Retired Officers Association, and the Masonic Lodge. Virginia passed away in 1993 and is buried in the Tubac Cemetery. In 2003 Harold moved to Odin, IL to be with family after an injury from a fall, and he passed away there in 2006. Harold was preceded in death by Virginia, his wife of 47 years, and one great-grandson, Broden Cox. He is survived by two daughters, Judith (Walter) Matthias and Janice LeMarr; and one step-son, Michael (Maxine) Ugalde. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He has been cremated, and his ashes will be inurned at the Tubac Cemetery, Saturday, July 14, 2007 at 10:00 A.M.
