Paul Joseph DeBoo, 87, of Phoenix, passed away from cancer July 14, 2012.
He was born to the late August Renee DeBoo and Gladys Ethel Bennett. He was married to Alice Mae Smith Brown DeBoo for 27 years. They lived in Bonita, Calif., before retiring to Arizona. There they resided in Lake Havasu City (10 years) before splitting time between Bullhead City and Meadview for seven years. Summers were spent in Reedsport, Ore., where he enjoyed RVing and fishing. Paul was an award-winning pigeon racing hobbyist before illness forced his retirement from the sport.
Paul served in the U.S. Navy aboard the destroyer the USS McDermut during the Korean War. He worked at Rohr Aircraft Industries in Chula Vista, Calif., for 35 years, retiring as Director of Engineering.
Paul is survived by his wife, Alice; four children, sons, Ronald, of Chula Vista, and Jeffrey, of Arizona; stepdaughter, Lisa (Albert) Howe, of Phoenix; stepson, Frank Brown, of North Carolina. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Christopher, Alyssa and Hannah; and two sisters, Irene (Don) Radford, of Nevada, and Iris (Dick) Gabel, of California.
