Silver Creek Mortuary, Taylor, Arizona LARRY DOUGLAS MATYAS (December 14, 1947 ~ July 24, 2012) Larry Douglas Matyas passed away at home July 24, 2012. He was born in Central Lake, Michigan, on the kitchen table, December 17, 1947 to Paul and Wilma Matyas. Larry was the oldest of five children. Larry and his wife Patti own the Carriage House in Snowflake. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, on the Snowflake Town Council, the NPC Foundation Board, The Snowflake Fire Board and Silver Creek Senior Citizens Board. He had a double degree in Criminal Justice and Business Administration. He loved having his family around him, they are most important in his life. Larry and Patti have five children; Terra Lynn (Tony) Rhineheart, Angela Pauline Matyas (deceased), Jason Lawrence (Mindy) Matyas, Samuel Phillip (Reah) Matyas and Shakira (Luke) Martineau. Thirteen grandchildren with one on the way and one great grandchild on the way. We are sure that when he entered heaven his first words were, “Just another day in Paradise” Larry is truly now “Perfect”. Funeral. There will be public viewing Monday, July 30, 2012 at 9:00 AM and Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Main Street Chapel in Snowflake, Arizona.
